The place

A planned community inside the city

Lake Nona is part of the City of Orlando, not a separate town, although it can feel like one. It covers about 17 square miles southeast of Orlando International Airport and takes its name from the large lake at its northern end. In 2000 roughly 1,500 people lived there. By 2015 the figure had passed 50,000, and a 2018 estimate put it near 64,000.

It was planned in pieces, and the pieces still shape how you get around. Lake Nona Central holds VillageWalk and the USTA National Campus. Lake Nona Estates is the golf and country club. Lake Nona South holds Medical City and Laureate Park, and Northlake Park holds Morningside and Waters Edge. Education Village, with Lake Nona High School and the Valencia College campus, sits outside the original boundary.

For a glass job, that history means newer streets, neighborhood entrances and community rules about who may work where. The address alone does not always tell the technician which entrance to use.

Getting there

The SR 417 exits around Lake Nona

The Central Florida GreeneWay (SR 417) is the main road in and out. It is a toll road run by the Central Florida Expressway Authority, and it has taken no cash at its plazas since August 20, 2025.

ZIP codes

Two ZIP codes, and a few surprises

Lake Nona addresses use 32827 and 32824. The Census Bureau places almost all of 32827 inside the City of Orlando, while 32824 also stretches over streets well outside Lake Nona, so a 32824 address can be some distance from the lake.

Because Lake Nona has grown so fast, map apps sometimes lag behind the streets. A neighborhood that opened last year can show up as an empty field. When you book, give us the street address, the name of your neighborhood and the nearest cross street, and send a pin if the map looks wrong.

At work

Medical City and other workplaces

  1. What is there

Lake Nona Medical City is a 650-acre health and life sciences park that opened in 2010. The UCF College of Medicine took its first students in fall 2009, the Orlando VA Medical Center began seeing patients in February 2015, and Nemours Children's Hospital and the UF College of Pharmacy are also there.

  2. Garages and lots

Many people who work at these sites park in a structured garage. A windshield can often be replaced on a garage level if there is room to open the doors fully and the property allows vendor work. Tell us the garage name, the level and the clearance height.

  3. Ask first

Hospitals and research buildings set their own rules for outside vendors. Check with your parking office or facilities desk before booking a workday install. If the answer is no, home is the easier option.

  4. Directions only

We name these places so you can tell us where the car is. We are not connected with any of them.

At home

Lake Nona driveways and garages

The bulk of Lake Nona work is at home. These details help the technician find the car and get to work.

  • Coded or staffed entrances: if your neighborhood uses a visitor app or a guest list, add the visit there, and put the code in the booking notes.
  • Community rules on vendors: where trucks may not park on the street, we work in the driveway or an open garage instead.
  • Townhomes: if your garage opens onto a rear lane, say whether the car is in the garage or parked out front, because the two can look a block apart on a map.
  • Apartments: check the lot rules and the towing signs, and park where the technician can open both front doors.
  • Afternoon storms: from June to October, a garage or a morning slot gives the urethane dry glass to bond to.

We do not install in rain. If a storm is heading toward Lake Nona, we call to move the time and you choose the new slot.

Newer cars

Cameras, sensors and calibration

New neighborhoods tend to have newer cars, and most cars from recent model years have a forward camera behind the mirror for lane keeping or automatic braking. After a new windshield goes in, that camera needs calibrating. Florida law asks the glass shop to tell you in writing whether yours does, and we send that notice with your quote.

Calibration is included with the windshield replacement when your car needs it, and we do it in the same visit where the procedure can be done on site. Many procedures need level ground. A flat driveway or the flat floor of a garage works better than a sloped street, so mention the slope if your driveway has one. The calibration page explains the process.

Lake Nona questions

A question we missed? Our Orlando line is (407) 305-3829; texts go to (877) 350-5962.

Is Lake Nona in the City of Orlando?

Yes. Lake Nona is a planned community inside Orlando city limits, southeast of the airport. We serve it as part of Orlando.

Can you replace my windshield in a Medical City parking garage?

Often, if the garage has room to open the doors fully and the property allows vendor work. Ask your parking office first, then tell us the garage, the level and the clearance.

Does my insurance cover a new windshield?

On a Florida policy with comprehensive coverage, the windshield can have $0 Deductible with Comprehensive Coverage. We check your policy before we book and help you file your claim.

Our street is so new the map shows a field. Will that slow down a visit?

It can, if the technician has to hunt for the street. Same-day appointments are available in most areas, depending on the day's schedule and the glass your car needs. Send the street address, the neighborhood name, the nearest cross street or the GreeneWay exit you use, and a pin if the map looks wrong. The booking form takes requests around the clock.
